Policies and Ts&Cs
We are really sorry but we are unfortunately unable to process refunds due to you no longer being able to attend. We are more than happy for you to gift the space to a friend or to sell the space. If we have enough notice we are happy to advertise the space on our Facebook page to try to re sell the space, however we cannot garantee we will be able to.
Payment for sessions
All sessions must be paid in full online at the point of booking. This can be done by bank transfer or through your class for kids accounts.
Cancellation due to staff illness
If any of the Fireflies staff are too ill to run the session they will try to replace themselves to ensure the session can still go ahead. If we are unable to find a replacement the session will be postponed and we will offer everyone an alternative date to return for their session or a refund.
Cancellation due to extreme weather
Although forest school happens in all weathers, safety will always come first. If there is strong wind or extreme thunderstorms whereby we feel the session is exposed to unacceptable risk the session leader may decide to cancel . If possible, on occasions we may be able to offer you an alternative session but if you cannot attend the alternative session offered then no refund can be given.
Minimum numbers per session
Sessions will only go ahead if we have 10 children or above. 24 hours notice will be given before the session date is cancelled.
COVID 19
Cancellations due to Covid
I am afraid we do not offer refunds as standard procedure.
As I'm sure you can imagine we have planned our sessions and staffing carefully based on the numbers booked in and a last minute cancellation can be difficult if we are unable to sell the space.
If a child is no longer able to attend a session due to a COVID related illness or because they now need to self isolate since booking we ask that you contact us and you can either pass the place onto a friend or, if we have children on our waiting list, we may be are able to transfer the place then we would be able to offer you a refund, however this is not guaranteed.
FIT AND WELL
Please only send your child to Forest School if they are fit and well. If you are in any doubt if your child may be unwell, please keep them at home. Please follow all government guidance around when to isolate. If anyone in your household is having to self isolate we kindly as that no one in your household atte
If a child displays typical COVID-19 symptoms, your child will be taken to a quiet area and a member of staff will stay with them until you arrive to collect them. Other children will be kept away to avoid any further distress to anyone.
Safeguarding
Jessica Brocklebank is the Safeguarding Designated Lead and Prevent lead at Fireflies forest School.
All members of Fireflies Forest School are fully committed to providing a safe, secure and inclusive environment for all children and parents/carers attending our sessions.
All of our staff and volunteers undergo safeguarding training and DBS checks.
We provide confidentiality in relation to information shared with us by service-users, except in circumstances where disclosure makes it a legal obligation to share information with appropriate professionals.
If we have a concern about the wellbeing of a child or vulnerable adult attending Fireflies Forest School we will follow our Safeguarding policy which can be found below.
